Labrador Sarbi. Sarbi was an Australian Army Special Forces explosives detection dog in Afghanistan, She went missing in 2008 after her battalion was ambushed by insurgents, but was found 15 months later in a Talaban village and returned to the overjoyed Australian troops, and later bought back to Australia. She was awarded an RSPCA Purple Cross Award in 2011 at the Australian War Memorial, recognising the deeds of animals that have risked their lives to show outstanding service to humans, the only other military animal in Australia to receive this award has been Simpson's Donkey.
